HOW TO GET A WEST VIRGINIA MEDICAL CARD

Step 1: Book An Appointment With CCC

Schedule an appointment with CCC to meet virtually with a MMJ doctor in West Virginia at a time that suits you best. Be sure to have your medical documentation for your qualifying condition ready, along with a valid state ID or driver’s license.

Step 2: Talk to a Certified Physician

You’ll meet with your certifying physician virtually via video chat. During the appointment, the doctor will thoroughly discuss your medical condition, symptoms, and any current or previous medications you’ve used. Together, you’ll create a personalized MMJ treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Following the appointment, your doctor will fill out a recommendation form for MMJ, granting you approval. You’ll use this form to apply to the state for your WV Medical Card.

    Step 3: Get Your Card!

Once approved by a certifying physician, you’ll proceed to register with the state and submit an application for your WV medical card through the West Virginia Office of MMJ using the convenient WV online platform.

Between 30-60 days after the state approves your application and receives payment, you will receive an email notifying you of the status of your application.

Patients are required to renew their license annually by consulting with a licensed physician again. CCC will reach out to you as your annual certification expiration approaches to assist you with scheduling your renewal appointment.
